All translations prepared by the firm are formatted to match the layout of the original document. The preparation of graphic-intensive documents and/or documents in software other than a standard word processing application is offered as a separate Multilingual Desktop Publishing (DTP) service.

Editing & Proofreading

Sun Translation linguists are available to review, edit and proofread previously translated materials. Sun Translation linguists review documents and provide our clients with an overall opinion regarding its quality, suitability and possible need for revision, without making changes directly to the text.

The editing process involves the review and revision of a translation to make overall improvements in the text, focusing primarily on the correction of translation errors and the improvement of accuracy and style. Our linguists also proofread translations, comparing the foreign language document to the original text, identifying errors which have been introduced in the process of reformatting and, if appropriate, ensuring conformity to the required layout and typographic specifications.

Abstracting

Abstracts are a cost-effective way to obtain a basic summary of a document's content. We can provide summaries of foreign text to English, and English to foreign languages. The final product will include the purpose, scope, and conclusion of the document.
